Reluctantly graduated from university, Sherlock is, one might say, a bit lost.
He was pushed through the school system as quickly as possible, both because of his incredible intelligence and because his teachers didn't want to deal with him for more than one year, and graduated uni at the tender age of seventeen.
Now, at twenty-something, after failing to take any interest in the various internships his brother tried to land for him, Sherlock is mostly on his own, completely lacking in ambition, and possessing a few rather unseemly habits.
He spends his time crashing on couches because Mycroft believes in tough love, in rehab because Mummy doesn't, and at his parents' place where he does his best to behave before he gets bored and goes off on his own again.
On some weekends, he bareknuckle boxes at not entirely legal establishments in order to pay for his habits.
